The LG 50PS80 is a 50" Full HD 1080p Plasma HDTV from LG's 2009 PS80 series with a super bright panel and 600Hz smooth motion picture processing for crisp images. The plasma is LG's flagship model, featuring ethernet connectivity to allow access to music, photos, and streaming video directly on the TV without the need for a PC.

Like the secondary PS60 models, the 50PS80 includes THX Display Certification and THX Cinema Mode but it also offers THX Media Director technology which the PS60 series lacks. The 50PS80 comes with LG Simplink connectivity and has a variety of inputs including 4 HDMI inputs and a USB port. The TV is also Energy Star compliant for greater energy conservation. The TV is expected to be released in June 2009.
