LG 60PS60

$2,600.00 Released June, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:1080p, 600Hz. THX certified. Large size.

The Cons:Lacks higher end Internet and THX Media Directory technology. A front panel jack would be nice.

The LG 60PS60 is a 60" Full HD 1080p Plasma HDTV from LG's 2009 PS60 series with a super bright panel and 600Hz smooth motion picture processing to produce crisp images.  The TV features THX Display Certification and Cinema Mode but sits below LG's flagship PS80 series since it lacks the ethernet connectivity and THX Media Director technology which are included with the PS80 models.

Squibbles
Squibbles: #lg_60ps60 I have this TV and like it quite a bit. I upgraded from an Olevia 747i (47" LCD) and love it. I haven't seen any image retention issues or anything like that. If you want a big TV for cheap this one seems like the way to go.

I didn't add it to the list of Cons but I noticed a small down side. The TV has no analog audio out jacks only digital (optical). Normally that would not be a problem, but my receiver only has two optical in ports and both are already in use. So when I watch TV through cable/antenna I have to use the TV speakers instead of my home theatre speakers. I don't think it's a big deal. Aug 4, 09
