Released May, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Very attractive bezel design. Great picture quality for the price.

The Cons:Quirky issues with PC input.

The PG20 Series from LG is their 2008 entry level line of plasma televisions and feature a native 720p resolution. Compared to LG's 2007 line of entry level televisions the PG20 series marks a significant improvement with more attention paid to both the inside and outside of the sets.

Product Shot 2 The design of the sets is consistent across all of LG's 2008 plasma line where the speakers have been made "invisible". Internally the panel has been improved alongside the addition of professional-level calibration options. The step-up line - the PG30 Series - features a native 1080p resolution.

Invisible speaker - LG's design does away with the explicit speaker system, and uses a technology that turns the entire bezel of the television into a speaker. To ensure the speaker doesn't sound horrible with this new technology LG used Mark Levinson, a supposed expert in audio design, to tune the speakers.

ISFccc Calibration - Each input can be independently set to one of the preconfigured modes, or to one of the two "Expert" modes. The Expert modes have been approved by the ISF foundation which indicates that a "professional" level of customization options are available.

Clear Voice - Alongside the invisible speaker LG improved the internal audio system and added this Clear Voice technology, that - when activated - attempts to identify human dialog and boost the volume so it doesn't get drowned out by the background noise and music.
