LG PG60 Series
Released May, 2008
The Pros:Invisible speaker design works. Fantastic picture. Wide volume range.
The Cons:Poor manual. Included remote isn't very good. THX mode is hit or miss.
The PG60 Series is LG's flagship line of plasma HD televisions released in 2008, and feature a native resolution of 1080p. This top line contains similar specifications to the less expensive 1080p PG30 series with a few premium features being added.

The most notable improvement is the one-pane-of-glass design that has the panel sitting flush with the bezel which is intended to reduce the prominence of the bezel frame and keep focus on the picture. THX Certification is the other major addition to the PG60 Series over the PG30s and includes a specific "THX Mode" that is intended to give the best quality picture for movies.

Invisible speaker - LG's design does away with the explicit speaker system, and uses a technology that turns the entire bezel of the television into a speaker. To ensure the speaker doesn't sound horrible with this new technology LG used Mark Levinson, a supposed expert in audio design, to tune the speakers.
ISFccc Calibration - Each input can be independently set to one of the preconfigured modes, or to one of the two "Expert" modes. The Expert modes have been approved by the ISF foundation which indicates that a "professional" level of customization options are available.
Clear Voice - Alongside the invisible speaker LG improved the internal audio system and added this Clear Voice technology, that - when activated - attempts to identify human dialog and boost the volume so it doesn't get drowned out by the background noise and music.
