Panasonic VIERA TC-42PX14

$1,150.00 Released April, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Built-in speakers provide sufficient audio response - frequencies are clear and balanced, with a surprising amount of low-end output. Glare issues are surprisingly minimal for a plasma screen - users viewing during in an area of natural light should not encounter significant problems. Available from many resellers at a fraction of the list price - many users report purchasing the TV for $500 or less.

The Cons:SD card reader is very slow - navigating, selecting and playing back files can be a painstaking procedure. Remote is awkwardly designed and therefore difficult to use - overly complicated design will lead many users to opt for a universal remote. Single digital audio output may severely limit sound outputting capabilities - not compatible with RCA-based speaker systems.
