Panasonic Viera TC-P50U1
$1,400.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Black levels are deep and show lots of detail in darker scenes. Colors are very natural and true to life. Price has come down quite a bit since release, can often get an amazing deal on an unused unit.
The Cons:Audio output is HDMI or Optical only, no RCA audio output support - seems odd considering the legacy support elsewhere in the design. Reflects light on the screen readily, almost mirror-like. No real extras, like a USB connection, 3D capability or LAN.

speakers are located at the bottom and point toward the floor, end up fairly muffled so they get turned up louder than you would have otherwise to understand what people are saying

woilly:
#panasonic_viera_tc_p50u1 Nice, colors and contrast. This is the new model that replace The PZ80.
Contrast is higher but there is one thing i don't like.. There is no RCA output for audio....
If you have a Home theater with HDMI and audio Optic in your ok.
