Released August, 2009
The Pros:Anti-glare screen coating works well. Excellent default picture settings - likely no need for professional calibration. Plasma display provides deep, dark black levels.
The Cons:Poor sounding built-in speakers. Relatively expensive compared to other comparable models. Photo viewing through the SD Card reader can be slow.
The VIERA S1 Series is Panasonic's mid-range line of plasma HDTVs and incorporates their 2009 NeoPDP technology though removes some of the extraneous features found in the high-end series. For more information refer to the full VIERA S1 Series report.
