Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ80U
$2,500.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Picture is fantastic out of the box, needs no adjustment beyond being put in THX mode. Fast enough response for first-person-shooter games. Setup is easy enough for entry-level users, stand attaches quickly and it mostly automatically detects everything.
The Cons:Brightness isn't great in a room with a lot of direct sunlight. Pretty heavy materials used here, need at least two people to move it around.
The 80 Series from Panasonic is their entry level Plasma line that offers a native 1080p resolution. For more information refer to the full Panasonic Viera 80 Series report.
