Samsung PN42A400

The PN42A400 is a 42" entry-level Samsung plasma HDTV. The 720p panel has been replaced by models like the PN42C430. It lacks features like Touch of Color design and BD Wise support, but will not produce a bad picture, with a 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 5ms response time.

Silhouette-editing technology aims to reduce false contours and improve image sharpness. The unit is equipped with two HDMI inputs and standard 10W, SRS TruSurround speakers. The new entry-level models feature 600Hz Subfield Motion, which reduces response time to 0.001 ms, as well as 2,000,000:1 contrast ratios.
