Samsung PN50A510

$900.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Sound output is above average, good clarity and volume. Picture is bright and clear, fights glare effectively. Doesn't suffer from burn-in problems seen in older plasma TVs.

The Cons:Undersized power supplies in this line of plasma TVs can result in an expensive repair a few years into ownership. Not a lot of support information available for this unit online. Low on inputs, may need to work with a receiver.

The PN50A510 is a mid-range, 50" plasma HDTV from Samsung, now discontinued. The 1080p television's specs, including contrast ratio and response time, are several steps below those of comparable 2010 models like the PN50C550 which feature 600Hz Subfield Motion technology and Internet TV capabilities.
