Real Black Filter technology further enhances contrast in dark content by reducing the effect of light reflection, while 600Hz Subfield Motion enables an exceptional response time of .001 ms, virtually eliminating blur in fast-moving scenes. The PN50C540 cuts energy consumption significantly compared to the 2009 models and qualifies for Energy Star. The PN50C550 is mostly identical but features another HDMI port and an additional 'color enhancement' technology.
