The Sanyo DP42740 is a low-end 42" plasma HDTV with a 1024 x 768 native resolution. Its 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio provides a richer picture by way of deeper blacks while its screen saver feature prevents the burn-in that commonly occurs with plasma televisions.

Additionally, the DP42740's variety of digital and analogue connections allow for a greater number of devices to be connected simultaneously.

The DP42740's 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio ensures deeper blacks and brighter whites, resulting in greater depth of colour and improved overall picture quality. Its screen saver feature ensures that if the DP42740 is left for too long on any still image, a screen saver will automatically turn on in order to prevent image burn-in. Additionally, the DP42740 sports a number of connections (2x HDMI, 2x component, 1x composite, 1x coaxial digital audio), allowing for HD devices such as Blu-ray players, standard definition devices and even analogue devices to be connected simultaneously.
